DAVID Lock donned a hard hat as he welcomed the Prescott Express to town. John Prescott and David Lock urge voters to jump on their bandwagon.

Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott ditched his two jags for a coach as he stopped off to visit his Government colleague in Kidderminster.

The transport chief is rallying the troops as part of his nationwide campaign trail by coach.

He joined Wyre Forest's MP at the town's new First Midland Red bus depot, on the Worcester Road Island.

The visit tied in with Mr Lock's election cry of urging constituents to look forward rather than seeking to turn the clock back.

The old depot is being knocked down as part of the £60 million town centre development.

Mr Lock said: "Mr Prescott said he welcomed the £1.5 million investment that Midland Red were making in bus services and hailed the success of new services such as the 303 which was running between the county's three hospitals.

"This is an example of Labour's investment in transport delivering for local people."
