Police in Kidderm-inster have warned people to be on their guard against a con man with a "hard luck story".
The man, who approaches people claiming to have no money to pay for a taxi to visit a sick relative in hospital, has obtained a "large number" of cash donations of around £10 over recent weeks.
Anyone who has had an encounter with him should contact Kidderminster Police on 01562 820888."
