AFTER reading Paul Stammers's County Commentary (Monday, May 7) I am not surprised Evening News readers are "world-weary".
However, they can take heart from the fact that my objective is to get as many of the police officers available to me out on patrol in the communities they serve and not behind the desks (or indeed front counters) of police stations. This has always been the case.
