NO Play was possible before lunch in Worcestershire Cricket Board's Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy second round clash against Cumberland at Kidderminster's Chester Road Ground today.
Heavy overnight rain had seeped under the covers making it impossible for a prompt 10.45am start.
Board secretary and team manager Allan Scrafton said: "We are all very, very disappointed. We were looking forward to the match but driving rain over Sunday and Monday has made it impossible for us to start on time."
Worcestershire C B are bidding to get through to the third round for the first time.
The winners will be at home to Kent on Wednesday June 27.
Herefordshire were also due to start their trophy campaign today against Gloucs CB at Brockhampton.
