ANDY Brownrigg is on his way out of Kidderminster Harriers with a £25,000 move to Greenock Morton.

The 23-year-old will travel to Scotland today to hammer out personal terms over the surprise transfer after Harriers' boss Jan Molby accepted the bid yesterday.

The former Hereford United and Norwich City defender was Molby's first acquisition as manager when he came on a free transfer from Rotherham United, but Brownrigg endured a frustrating season last year with a series of knee injuries.

New Morton boss -- former Aston Villa star Allan Evans -- is an admirer of Brownrigg and hopes to finalise the deal later today.

Molby said: "The situation is we've agreed a fee with Greenock and Andrew will travel up there this morning to discuss the move.

"Initially, Andrew was not sure about the move but he changed his mind and said he wants to go. I know he's a good player but I couldn't guarantee him a first-team place.

"I've accepted the bid, however, because I think it's a fair valuation of the player."

Brownrigg did not travel to Eton Park last night as Harriers began their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Nigel Clough's Burton Albion.
