MALVERN Hills Conservators have announced the re-opening of most of the middle section of the Hills.
The announcement was made late yesterday afternoon and will be effective from tomorrow (Saturday, May 12).
Visitors are asked to use access points at car parks at The Wyche Cutting, Gardiners Quarry in Jubilee Drive and Blackhill in Jubilee Drive.
Disinfectant procedures, using disinfectant approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) will be in place and visitors are asked to observe them.
The area newly opened is from the Wyche Cutting to the Malvern Hills Hotel, although the British Camp car park and the area south, as well as Castlemorton Common, remain closed. The announcement comes after detailed talks with bodies such as the Environment Agency. A key element has been ensuring that any disinfectant used does not pollute watercourses in the area.
