AT the November meeting, Shirley Jones was elected to the office of vice-president for the year 2001-2002.
The club held two successful fundraising events -- a ploughman's lunch, at Rotary House, which raised £226 and a jumble sale at the Old Library Centre which realised £129.40.
The proceeds will be used to help support the many charities that benefit from Inner Wheel patronage.
The speaker at the meeting was Chris Galey who was joint consort to the lord mayor of Birmingham. Mrs Galey described her role, giving a very interesting and often amusing insight into the duties, events and happenings at the many functions she attended during the mayoral year. Barbara Dodds gave a vote of thanks.
