KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have appointed Ian Clarkson as captain for their debut season in the Nationwide League Division three.

The 29-year-old former Birmingham City skipper joined Harriers from Northampton Town last November.

Aggborough boss Jan Molby said: "Apart from being an experienced football league player he has got all the qualifications and always plays to a very high standard.

"He's very organised and although he's never played at the highest level he gets an enormous amount of respect from the lads."

Molby, meanwhile, is continuing to track former Port Vale and newscastle United midfielder Ian Bogie, but regards his chances of attracting the player to Aggborough as 'slim'.

Bogie is attracting interest from a number of other clubs including Luton Town.

A limited number of terrace tickets are likely to be available for Harriers' opening league game with Torquay United on Saturday.

Home supporters without tickets will only be admitted to the South Stand (via turnstile D). Tickets cost £9 (adults) and £6 (concessions).

A spokesman for the club said all other tickets for the historic curtain-raiser were now sold.
