KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Jan Molby is constantly on the look-out for new players -- even though the Aggborough budget has been spent.

He often goes on spying missions just in case a situation arises where he can bring in a fresh face.

The former Liverpool star said: "We have to be on the look-out for whatever reason. Something might happen and you have to know where to go in case we sell somebody, and we can bring someone else in, or if a player is unhappy at not being in the team.

"We have got a list of players if anything changes that we could possibly look to bring in.

"There are some good players in the Third Division and we are looking around. I go out to as many matches as I can to keep an eye on players because at the end of the day it's my final decision and I enjoy watching games at whatever level."

Molby says that any potential target would be from the Football League.

"They have to be now. If you are going to take anybody from non-league then you have to go through what we have done with some of our current players and transform them from part-time to full-time in terms of added strength and fitness."

Molby, however, knows that at the moment his hands are tied with regard to new players.

"We have been given a budget to work to and we have tried to work to that.

"We have got a lot of talent in the squad, but if people are expecting us to get promoted then we might not be strong enough. But we want to be there or there abouts. We have just got to keep on working hard."
