JAN Molby, who slapped seven players on the transfer list yesterday, wants Kidderminster Harriers to "get the show back on the road" when they face title-chasing Brighton & Hove Albion in a Nationwide League Division Three clash at Aggborough tomorrow (3pm).

The Harriers boss stunned fans by making Tim Clarke, Paul Webb, Barry Horne, Dean Bennett, Ian Bogie, Tony Bird and Steve Pope available for transfer in a move he hinted at following Wednesday's 2-0 LDV Vans Trophy defeat at Bury.

Molby said: "We have made good progress as a club over the past 18 months and if we are to continue doing that we have to make some more changes.

"As a manager you are paid to make tough decisions and that is what you have to do.

"People have to remember we are in a transitional period as a club and changes have to be made along the way.

"My decision wasn't made as a result of Wednesday night's defeat, though it was the straw that broke the camel's back."

All are available on free transfers apart from Bennett, for whom a fee will be required.

Molby added: "Whereas the year 2000 has probably been as good a year as the club has ever had, 2001 hasn't been very kind to us so far.

"We have produced two unacceptable performances already at Torquay and on Wednesday night and it was a disappointing result at Halifax on Saturday, so we have got to get the show back on the road."

Molby made six changes for the defeat at Second Division Bury, but is likely to select a similar side to that which played at Halifax.

Defender Scott Stamps is ruled out with a hamstring injury which he picked up at The Shay and was replaced by Ian Clarkson.

Hamstring victims Ian Foster and Stewart Hadley will also miss tomorrow's clash, with midfielder Adie Smith having a '50-50' chance of recovering from a knee injury.

Molby is hoping it will be third time lucky for Harriers in their quest to register their first league 'double'.

Two previous attempts saw them draw 1-1 at Torquay on New Year's Day and go down 3-2 at Halifax last Saturday.

Molby, whose men won 2-0 at Brighton on August 28 thanks to goals from Foster and Bennett, said: "It's another chance of a 'double', so let's hope it will be third time lucky.

"It's a big game for us bec-ause it's sure to test us against the best. They are one of the better teams in the division, there's no doubt about that.

"But we have already beaten them and I don't think they can have a lot of complaints about that. We played very well that day. We dealt with everything they chucked at us and we scored two very good goals."
