JAN Molby is looking forward to seeing how his Kidderminster Harriers players cope with their tough Nationwide League Division Three test against big-spending Cardiff City at Aggborough on Sunday (12 noon).

"Of course, it won't be easy, but it's nice to play a team like that who have spent over £2million just on bringing in players," said the Aggborough boss.

"It's good to test yourself against that, but if you have got the money spend it. That's one thing I have learned in management.

"I'm not complaining, though, and it will be a nice test for us. Credit to Cardiff, all those players they have brought in, apart from Leo Fortune-West, are all good young players."

The promotion-chasing Bluebirds have paid out £500,000 on full-back Daniel Gabbidon, £550,000 on striker Gavin Gordon, £460,000 on defender David Hughes and £300,000 on front-runner Fortune-West.

As Harriers officials prepare for a Welsh invasion, Molby added: "They will be bringing a lot of fans so we can rest assured that they will make a lot of noise.

"It's a 12 noon kick-off which is slightly unusual so we've been training at 12 each day to try and get used to it. Sometimes these different kick-off times can throw you a bit, but we will be as prepared as we can."

Molby is expecting a hot reception from the Cardiff fans, particularly as he formerly managed their arch-rivals Swansea.

He said: "The fact we are playing Cardiff makes it an event. Their fans have a reputation but their team are going very well, their fans will come in numbers to back them and they are very vocal.

"But we have players in our dressing room who can be lifted by that and we hope we can create an atmosphere."

Mid-table Kidderminster, who drew 0-0 at Cardiff in September, will be defending an unbeaten three-match run.

Molby said: "Cardiff were very direct when we played them at Ninian Park but they have changed the way they play because of the people they have brought in."

Aggborough officials, meanwhile, are urging all Harriers fans without tickets for the all-ticket clash to act quickly or risk missing out.

The third-in-the-table Bluebirds have sold out of their terrace allocation of 1,750.

No tickets will be sold on the day of the game but supporters can still buy them from the ticket office today and tomorrow. Today the ticket office is open until 4.45pm and again tomorrow from 10am to 12 noon.
