BOSS Jan Molby be-lieves Kid-derminster Harriers' Nationwide League Division Three task against lowly Lin-coln City at Aggbor-ough tonight (7.45) has been made more difficult by Alan Buckley's appointment as the Imps new manager.

Former West Bromwich Albion chief Buckley took over at Sincil Bank last week and in his first match in charge on Saturday saw lowly Lin-coln register their first away league win of the season with a 3-2 victory at Mansfield.

Molby said: "It's always difficult to play against a team which has a change of manager as the players want to impress.

"It was a highly entertaining game in October when we drew 3-3 at Sincil Bank where they have an okay record, but it's been their away results which has obviously let them down big time."

Long-serving Aggborough midfielder Paul Webb is also expecting a tough game for Harriers tonight, but is hoping the side can hit back from their 5-1 mauling against Blackpool at Bloomfield Road on Saturday.

He said: "We have just got to bounce back. Lincoln have been having a bad time, but it normally works in favour of sides when a new manager comes in.

"The players are going to want to impress him and it's going to make it very, very tough for us.

"They are fighting for their lives and after Saturday we have got to bounce back and I'm sure we will. It was entertaining game when we played them at Lincoln, but we need to get a result tonight to get the confidence back in the lads."

Following the dismissal of Phil Stant and coach George Foster, the Imps captured Buckley with a contract until the end of the season.

A one-time instinctive striker with Walsall, Buckley had two spells as manager of Grimsby between 1988-94 and from March 1997 until this season, with an unhappy spell at West Brom sandwiched between his times at Blundell Park.

Molby, meanwhile, was today still finalising his selection plans, particularly as a number of players are struggling with injuries.

He said: "People are making a lot about there being wholesale changes and that there will be 11 new players out there after Saturday. That's not going to be the case."

Currently on the casualty list are Daire Doyle, Stewart Hadley, Ian Foster, Adie Smith and Scott Stamps.

Midfielder Doyle, hampered by a thigh strain, has made an earlier than expected return to training and is not being totally ruled out of Molby's selection plans.

Striker Hadley, battling to overcome an Achilles tendon injury, is also back in training but the Kidderminster boss may feel it's too soon to call him into the side.

Front-runner Ian Foster will be sidelined for a further few weeks while another hamstring victim defender Scott Stamps could come into contention for a place in the squad.

Following their victory at Mansfield on Saturday, the third-from-bottom Imps moved four points clear of basement club Carlisle.

Kidderminster's assistant manager Gary Barnett said today: "Reports I've heard from people who saw their game against Mansfield say that they performed very impressively, so our boys know they are in for a very, very hard game."

Lincoln will be without centre-back Steve Holmes because of a three match ban.
