REDDITCH Community Transport (RCT) has been awarded the Chamber of Commerce's Investors in People status.

RCT provides an accessible transport service and volunteer, training and employment opportunities.

The organisation also runs Worcestershire Wheels to Work (WW2W), providing mopeds for unemployed people to get to work or training, and Mobility Line, which provides door-to-door holiday transport for people with mobility problems by linking up with seaside community transport providers.

Manager Trevor Stringer said: "Our drivers and escorts are our most valuable resource, so it is rewarding to see their achievement recognised with this award."

RCT is also looking for companies interested in advertising on its minibus fleet, which has recently been extended to 12 around the Redditch, Worcester and Bromsgrove areas.
