ROOKIE batsman Ryan Driver is today basking in the glory of being Worcestershire's match-winning hero in yesterday's thrilling three-wicket NatWest Trophy win over Gloucestershire at New Road.
The 21-year-old left-hander hit an unbeaten 61 as the County clinched victory with seven balls to spare.
They now face a fourth round trip to Leicestershire on Wednesday, July 5.
Man-of-the-match Driver, who figured in vital half-century stands with David Leatherdale and Richard Illingworth, said: "We've been having a good run recently and then we lost to Sussex in two days which was obviously a huge disappointment, so to come back and win in this style is very pleasing.
"There was plenty of support around me. David Leatherdale batted very well and also Richard Illingworth at the end who helped see it through.
"At 68-4 we still had plenty of wickets in hand and we've a long tail that always chips in, so there was no reason to panic. It was a good stand with David Leatherdale.
"I'm pleased Richard Illingworth was there at the end."
