GLENN McGrath has completed a clean sweep of Worcestershire's end of season awards.

The Australian pace star was named as Worcestershire Supporters' Association and the junior Black Pears Club's Player of the Year.

He was also presented with the Dick Lygon award for the player considered to have done the most for the club both on and off the field.

Young paceman Kabir Ali was named as Worcester-shire Supporters' Associa-tion's uncapped Player of the Year.

Following the presentation of the Lygon Award to Mc-Grath, New Road secretary Mike Vockins said: "Glenn has proved very convincingly what a world-class bowler he is. He has been a formidable spearhead in our bowling attack and more than that he has been a model professional."

Presentations have also been made to Richard Illingworth and Gavin Haynes whose careers at New Road have come to an end.

Haynes has decided to retire as a result of knee problems while Illingworth has not been offered a renewal of his contract.

Both players have been presented with pictures of the County Ground.

Meanwhile, GPU Power UK, formerly Midlands Electricity, have comfirmed that they intend to renew their sponsorship of the club for the 2001 season.
