THE Kidderminster and District Lions Club has cancelled Raft Race 2001 due to the foot-and-mouth crisis.
Although the race was not due to take place until May, the cancellation has happened to prevent costs to rafters.
Next year's race has been organised for Sunday, May 12, 2002.
