AS a patron and a long-time volunteer at the Swan Theatre, Worcester, I was disappointed, once again, to see a very good play being performed to a half empty house.
It must be most demoralising for the actors to have worked so hard, received an excellent review in the local paper and then to be disappointed to see so few people in the audience. When are people going to wake up? The Swan Theatre is doing its best.
Make the effort, go and see productions. Reward those who work so hard to produce these plays for you. You could even become a Swan Theatre Volunteer.
Once again, the phrase "use it or lose it" comes to mind. Support your local theatre!
