ADRIAN Skeggs blas-ted his Worcester Rugby Club side despite their 27-8 win over Manchester, admitting: "We will win nothing if we play like that at Leeds."

The Sixways director of coaching ripped apart his team at the end of the match and even hauled them in yesterday for extra training because of the display.

Skeggs was furious with the performance, especially as second-placed Leeds kept up the pressure on the National One leaders with an 81-20 demolition of Orrell.

And with the crunch clash with Leeds next up for Worcester -- Skeggs has demanded more from his players.

He said: "Leeds won 81-20 today and that is the difference between them and us. We played well in patches and if we had maintained the pace of the game we would have hit them for six. However, we did not and it was just because we got so selfish in the way we played the game.

"We will win nothing with that type of game. Leeds will beat us by 20-30 points if we perform like that. We've got talented players out there but if they don't get the ball, they cannot affect the play."

Sateki Tuipulotu, playing his first game of the season at full back, bagged a hat-trick of tries while Spencer Bromley and Nick Baxter were also on hand to touch down for the Gold'n'Blues.

The victory, and a precious bonus point, saw Worcester reach a landmark of 100 league points for the season, to keep their three-point lead over Leeds at the top intact.

However, that was incidental for the Australian who saw his side, once again, play well in patches rather than put in an 80-minute performance.

"We're not tough enough. Professionalism is about doing your job over 80 minutes, not 30. I've gone into the dressing room and told them a few home truths but it is not something I haven't told them before. We are operating on half a petrol tank."
