IN their latest West Midland Front Pin League match the Malvern Gazette representative King Pin side visited Tewkesbury playing on the Bowls Club alley.

Malvern bounced back from their defeat at Stroud to record a six points maximum victory with an excellent all round team performance.

A consistent top half saw Malvern take the two points by some 17 pins. Roger Randle top scoring with a fine 60 pins including a 14 pin spare with Terry Trigg 56 (11 spare), Geoff Robinson 56 and Tony Hayes 51 bowling well.

Malvern's bottom half were grateful for a 'spider' from Tewkesbury anchor man on the final leg, taking advantage in securing the two points by a closely fought three pins.

John Phillips top scoring with 55 pins (13 spare) with Kevin Edmunds 53, and Kevin Ingram 50 supporting well.
