MALVERN hockey player Laura Macfarlane has been called up for the England under 16 hockey team.
Laura, aged 15, a pupil at The Chase, also presently plays for Colwall Women's Hockey Club first XI and was formerly with the Worcester Norton Hockey Club.
A high striker, Laura represented the Midlands U16 and the Midlands U15 team both for two years, also representing the district and County.
Laura, whose ambition has been to play for England, is now looking forward to the European Youth Championships in July in Hamburg.
"I was really pleased to be selected and its a super reward for all the training and hard work that's been done," said Laura.
