THIS was the third meeting this season and Wanderers continued their domination of the Stourport District U15s League and with this victory were confirmed as champions.

MALVERN WANDERERS 8, HALESOWEN FALCONS 1

It took 11 minutes for Wanderers to open the scoring, when Rob Cullen put the ball into Jamie Thomas's path, who after beating two defenders slotted the ball under the advancing keeper. Halesowen made Wanderers work hard for the next goal, it took until the 33rd minute but then three goals followed in the next three minutes to seal the victory and the championship.

Jamie Thomas got the first, the Rob Cullen bent one in off the bar from 20 yards and Jamie Thomas completed his hat-trick when he rounded the keeper for 4-0.

The match was already won and both teams relaxed in the second half. Wanderers ran out easy winners with goals from Joel Morris two, Zeki Korral and Jamie Thomas. Halesowen got a consolation goal when Mat Gardener scored.

On Sunday (March 18) Wanderers look forward to the visit of Soccer Scene, first division leaders, in the first round of the Kidderminster Charity Cup, kick off 2pm at Victoria Park.
