SPORTS made the trip to Perdiswell for this Bernard Finnegan Cup quarter-final and on a poor pitch caught the home side cold to score after just two minutes when a Sam Dakin cross was headed in by Mark White.
ALL BLACKS 1, LANGLAND SPORTS 7
Three minutes later Sports' Dean Drinkwater crossed for the hard-working Ed Palmer to score with power in the bottom right hand corner.
Sports then let All Blacks back into the game and a mix up in the 22nd minute gave keeper Newman no chance of saving but Sports restored their lead just before half time when Stuart Harvey scored following good work by Chris Postans and Drinkwater.
Goals started to flow for Sports in the second half and Stuart Harvey scored two more for his hat-trick early on with further goals coming from Ed Palmer, and Lines who blasted an unstoppable shot into the top of the net to put Sports through to the semi-finals.
On Sunday (March 18) Sports travel to Perdiswell Sports Centre again to play Perdiswell. Players meet Dukes Meadow at 9.15am for a 10.30am kick-off. Any problems ring Andy on 07968 432996.
