An adaptation of George Eliot's classic novel Mill on the Floss will be staged in Cheltenham next week.
The Everyman Theatre will be hosting the production from Tuesday (March 20) to Saturday, March 24.
The Shared Experience Theatre Company adaptation will star Peak Practice actor Joseph Millson, who played Dr Sam Morgan in the ITV drama series.
Set in the 19th Century, Mill on the Floss is the story of a wild and headstrong girl, Maggie Tulliver, who rebels against the conventions Victorian society places on her.
Co-directors Nancy Meckler and Polly Teale have used three different actresses to chart Maggie's progress from wilful child to mature woman.
Weekday performances are at 7.45pm, 8pm on Saturday, with matinees on Thursday at 2pm and Saturday at 2.30pm. Tickets start at £6, on 01242 572573.
