FECKENHAM were left with only one chance of silverware this season after crashing out of the Challenge Cup last night (Wednesday).

The Millers went down 3-0 at home to Coventry Sphinx and had defender Mark Cund sent off for stamping - their second dismissal in two matches.

The first goal was scored on the half hour after Mark Rollins conceded a penalty, and further strikes came on the stroke of half time and late on after Cund had his marching orders in the 55th minute.

With the Valley tenants treading water in the league, their season rests on the Worcestershire Senior Cup.

Feckenham visit Banks's Premier side Bromyard Town in the next round on a date to be fixed because of the foot and mouth crisis.

The Birmingham Senior Cup tie between Evesham and West Bromwich Albion was postponed last night because of Evesham's mounting fixture backlog.

The tie will determine who visits Kings Heath in the quarter final.

The Lye Meadow tenants have been told the tie has to be played by March 31 and have pencilled in Wednesday, 28, meaning the previous round will have to be resolved next week.
