WEDNESDAY CLUB: Met on March 7 when Mrs M Boath presided. Birthday cards were distributed. The club is to send £50 to the Aid for India Fund. The programme for the afternoon was given by Mr Goode from Evesham.
He delighted members with a wonderful musical selection on the electric piano. Instead of the normal arrangements for tea, members had a special treat organised by Mrs Boath to celebrate her 80th birthday. The beautiful cake for the occasion was made and decorated by Mrs Janet Charlton and the catering was in the capable hands of Mrs Wendy Neal.
Good friend and very welcome visitor Rev Philip Auden joined the happy throng. He thanked Mrs Boath for providing the lovely surprise tea-party which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A donation of tea and sugar was received from Mrs Keyte.
