POLICE in Stourport town centre at midnight were threatened by a group of youths who were shouting and swearing, Kidderminster magistrates heard.
They were trying to release a man who was in custody, said prosecutor Lynn Swain.
Robert Drysdale, 18, of Moorhall Lane, Stourport, and a 17-year-old were each fined £100, with £55 costs. They admitted using threatening words and behaviour outside the Outback club in Lombard Street.
They intended no harm to the policemen, said their solicitor, Jonathan Dollin, but were in high spirits after a night out and were showing off.
