I HAVE just been reading a selection of 'papers' circulated by 'authorities' other than or extensions of, those elected.
I find it astonishing that so many people are found employment in these activities known as... Actions, Agencies, Associations, Boards, Commissions, Consortia, Councils (not the elected ones), Directorates, Foundations, Networks, Organisations, Services, Partnerships, Resource Centres, Sectors, Strategies.
All the foregoing activities must cost money - public money. What, and where, is the evidence of any outcome for the public good?
