NIGHTCLUBBER Lee Mansell was arrested for disorderly behaviour in Blackwell Street, Kidderminster, at 2am.
He was put into a police car, then let himself out and was rugby tackled onto the road by a policeman, magistrates heard.
He was one of a noisy crowd outside Time nightclub at closing time and had ignored advice from a police dog handler, said prosecutor Alex Warren.
After he was floored by the officer who tackled him he attempted to headbutt another policeman, Mr Warren told the court.
Mansell, 23, of Tomkinson Drive, Kidderminster, was fined £300, with £120 costs, when he admitted using threatening words and behaviour and obstructing police.
He had no previous conviction, said his solicitor, Mark Sheward.
He admitted drinking seven pints of beer in the nightclub.
