Driving instructor Antonio Meola escaped a road ban in court at Kidderm-inster when he admitted riding his motor- cycle at 101 mph on the 70 mph dual carriageway approach to Stourport.
He was fined £200, with £35 costs.
Meola, 38, of Malham Road, Stourport, had pulled out to overtake a slow-moving line of traffic at Oldington, his solicitor, Gary Harper, told the court.
His speed was recorded by a police car crew waiting in the line.
As a registered driving instructor Meola had to report the court decision to the Department of Transport, said Mr Harper.
A driving ban would have cost him his job for at least four years.
