A bogus policewoman stole a purse containing £80 after conning her way into the home of a Kidder-minster pensioner.
The victim - in her 80s - let the woman, who claimed to be a police officer, in to look around her Marlpool Place home on Monday.
A police spokesman urged people to ask for proof of identification before allowing callers into their homes.
