TOWNSFOLK were drummed into action early on Monday as eight military drummers from the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters arrived in town.
The drummers were on a recruitment drive handing out tickets to a military tournament, which took place in Worcester on Monday night.
The regiment drummers played in the town centre and then quick marched down Market Place to their next location.
Redditch was the first stop of a tour of four towns promoting the army and next on the list was Bromsgrove followed by Kidderminster and then back to Worcester.
Sgt Tim Humber of the Army Careers Office in Worcester said: "We are trying to promote the army to young people throughout the county and using a short, sharp shock approach going to towns for around 20 minutes at a time."
