Stourport Ladies 4 Leicester Thursday 2

Stourport extended their unbeaten run in the Midland Conference League to six matches.

Laura Price opened the scoring within 10 minutes of the start but Leicester equalised five minutes later.

In the second half, it was the visitors who went ahead in the 40th minute, following a short-corner which hit a Stourport player.

A strike from Price hit the cross bar and Stourport had all the possession.

They finally found the breakthrough in the 50th minute when Alexis Tysler hit a straight shot off a short corner.

Melissa Kennedy was the next to score, leaving the goalkeeper stranded and after several more good attacks Tysler set up Price to fire home a deflected shot.

Stourport Ladies 2nds 1 Kings Heath 3

Against the run of play, Kings Heath scored after 15 minutes of the Worcestershire First Division match.

Things then got worse for Stourport as the visitors extended their lead 10 minutes later.

However, a short corner was stopped by Katie Pryce and she passed to Rosie Williams, whose shot deflected off the post for Andra Hughes to net the rebound.

There was another problem for Stourport when youngster Zeta Guest was taken to hospital with a hand injury. With only 10 players, Stourport lost their formation in the second half and were under constant pressure.

However, they dealt with a stream of short corners until mid-way through the half when the Kings Heath attack secured victory.

Malvern 4 Stourport Ladies 3rds 2

Ten-player Stourport struggled in the Worcestershire Second Division League.

They pushed forward but Malvern scored from their first chance, then went further ahead before half-time.

In the second half, Stourport came out battling but the home side scored first.

Teri Baron reduced the deficit following a short corner but Malvern added a fourth, slipping the ball between the keeper's feet.

Stourport never gave up and Baron swapped passes with Vicky Whitehouse before running half-the-pitch to score a deflected effort with five minutes left.
