Evesham Ladies 2, Badsey 1
EVESHAM hit back after the previous week's 4-0 reverse to overcome their local rivals.
Badsey took an early lead when Jude Taylor inadvertently turned the ball into her own net following a short corner.
However, this spurred the hosts into action and their short, simple passing game created more space and gave the Badsey defence plenty to think about.
Danielle Cox started the move that led to the equaliser when she passed to Vanessa Dufty on the right wing. She found Kayleigh Hatley who knocked the ball past the visiting goalkeeper.
Taylor then made up for her earlier mistake when she instigated the move that brought the winner. Becky Woods was the crosser on this occasion and Amy Miller's shot from an acute angle found the back of the net.
Evesham stayed cool in the final ten minutes as their possession play thwarted the villagers' hopes of hitting back.
The outstanding Carol Cherry was named Evesham 's player of the match for the second successive Saturday.
The ladies section is hoping to move up a division next season and are keen to attract players of all ages to bolster their squad.
