ROWING hero and gold medal winner Matthew Pinsent is set to toast the business success of 30 organisations.

The organisations, which have recently achieved the Investors in People Standard, will receive their awards on Tuesday, March 20, at the Jarvis Hotel in Bewdley.

The 29-year-old rowing champion will talk about his personal strive for success and gold winning performance in the Sydney 2000 Olympics before the awards are presented.

Craig Robinson, Investors in People manager at the Chamber of Commerce Herefordshire and Worcestershire said: "It's a great honour for local organisations to meet a true sporting hero.

"There is a lot of similarity between sport and business. You have to be determined and work well as part of the team in order to succeed."

Going for Gold organisations receiving awards at the presentation evening range from manufacturing companies to housing associations and schools.

Some of the organisations which will receive award are: Worcester Sixth Form College, Kempsey Primary School, Media Training Centre (The), Worcestershire County Council Environmental Services Directorate, Worcestershire County Council Educational Services Directorate, Rabjohns, Parkinson Wright, J W Allcock Quality Management Consultancy, Malvern Tubular Components Ltd, Trans4mation, Baker-Gordon Chartered Accountants, and Our Lady Queen of RC Primary School.
