GREEN-MINDED residents are being urged to recycle their rubbish in a bid to tidy up the town.
The clean-up forms part of Bromsgrove District Council's Local Agenda 21 Plan which looks at key issues highlighted by townsfolk where it is thought improvements could be made.
These include health, pollution, community safety, transport and the environment.
Changes are constantly being made in the district in line with the plan.
One such change was the siting of an oil recycling bank at Safeway, in Buntsford Park Road.
The future programme includes promoting the sale of local produce whenever possible, ensuring planning is environmentally friendly, improving road safety, encouraging more people to recycle household waste and protecting open spaces and wildlife.
Council leader Cllr Nick Psirides (Con, Norton) said: "The plan has been drawn up after discussions over 12 months with residents. Priorities have been highlighted in an attempt to provide a better quality of life."
