A BROMSGROVE woman is campaigning to save a town charity which helps needy people set up home.
Sandra Jones, from Villiers Road, Charford, was shocked to learn that Attics, Bromsgrove and Redditch Furniture Recycling Project, will have to close because of lack of funding.
The charity, based on Sanders Road Industrial Estate, off Worcester Road, failed to secure a vital lottery grant to continue its work in refurbishing old furniture to give to families on low incomes or benefits.
Mrs Jones is now hoping to get together a petition to show the strength of support that the service has in Bromsgrove.
She said: "I think they've done a wonderful job and it's just upsetting that they may have to close."
