THE Harkaway Club, which was forced to postpone its point-to-point meeting at Chaddesley Corbett last Saturday because of the foot and mouth outbreak, is seeking a new date.
Secretary Jenny Hancox, from Romsley, said their hopes for an evening meeting on May 12 had been dashed by the Jockey Club because it would have clashed with a National Hunt fixture at Worcester.
She said she has contacted the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for information on how soon a meeting could safely be held at the popular roadside course after the all-clear on the present outbreak is given.
