HEADLESS Cross Ladies' promotion push was halted at the weekend when the Abbey Stadium clash against Villa Veterans was rained off.

Injuries and unavailability meant manager Robert Auld could only field ten players in their last match, a loss to Villa Aztecs.

A fully-fit squad turned up for the weekend only for the match to be postponed.

But defender Sharon Porter is the only absentee on Sunday for the visit of Bromsgrove Ladies.

Porter is ruled out by work commitments against a side hammered 11-0 by Headless Cross early in the season.

Striker Beth Jarrett (ankle injury), defender Tina Waugh (hamstring) midfielders Gail Wright, Claire Maxwell and Lisa Parranuzzi (all unavailable) and right back Claire Skidmore (ankle) are all set to return at the weekend.

Third placed Headless, who have two games in hand, are bidding to make up a six point gap on leaders Southam.
