ROVERS grabbed three vital points on Saturday with a last-ditch winner from Catshill based Steve Frost.

After a lacklustre 45 minutes it looked like being another miserable afternoon for Bromsgrove fans at the Victoria Ground.

But the Greens upped the tempo in the second half with a gritty performance that Rocester simply couldn't handle. Frost, in his new role at the centre of midfield, blasted home the injury time winner from an acute angle after Richard Burgess sent him clear on the right edge of the area.

It was well deserved. Not just for Frost, but for all the players, who grew as the match progressed.

Three points looked a distant dream when Rocester's Martin Ridley latched on to Gareth Jennings' defence-splitting pass and coolly slotted the ball past goalkeeper Elliott Morris with just six minutes gone.

Dean Wright had the best chance of the half when Frost sent him clear, but the gangly Black Countryman dragged the ball wide when he should really have hit the target.

A different Rovers side came out after the interval and Burgess showed his team's intent with a terrific shot which cannoned off the crossbar.

The equaliser came on 52 minutes when Burgess was upended by Mick Ede on the edge of the area. Lee Hughes stepped up to power home the resulting spot-kick.

Wright missed a glorious chance when he blasted over from close range after Burgess --who looked back to his best form -- steamed down the right wing and centred.

But the glory was Rovers in the 92nd minute when Burgess laid the ball on a plate to Frost and he unleashed an unstoppable shot past John Edensor.

Rovers: Morris, Bayliss, Hughes, Townsend, S Frost, Ulfig (Creighton 42 mins), Nicholls, Yates, Burgess, D Wright ( Jefferson 85 mins), Beckett.

Rovers man of the match: Steve Frost.

Attendance: 327.
