REDDITCH Ladies Hockey Club stopped the rot with a 0-0 draw against a Towcester side struggling with them at the wrong end of the table.

And captain Angela Taylor insists the Bromsgrove Road side can beat the drop.

"It's very tight at the bottom and it looks like three sides will go down," she said.

"But we have three matches to play, it went to the last weekend of the season last time and it looks like it will again."

But after drawing another blank on Saturday the ladies still occupy a relegation spot.

The third from bottom side are on the same points as Tamworth, immediately above them.

But Tamworth's goal difference is 14 better, leaving Redditch needing at least a point from a daunting run-in against the league's second, third and fourth placed sides.

The tough run starts on Saturday when the Ladies visit third placed Matlock (10am start).

Midfielder Suzette Davenport returned at the weekend.
