PLANS to introduce counselling for women having problems during early pregnancy are being developed at the Alexandra Hospital.
The early pregnancy unit will be separate from the gynaecology and maternity units where women can be assessed.
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust is putting a business case forward in an attempt to secure funding.
A trust spokesman said: "A business case has been developed in order to provide a dedicated facility, fully staffed and equipped to look after the needs of women in the early stages of pregnancy.
"There is a room available supported by gynaecology unit staff."
