IT was lowly Oldbury United who went closest to finding the target as Stourport Swifts dropped two Midland Alliance points in a goalless draw at Walshes Meadow.
The visitors hit the bar midway through the opening half which proved the highlight of a shot-shy first period.
Early after the restart Lee Booth carved out two openings with his first attempt bringing a low save followed by a skied shot over the elusive Oldbury goal frame.
Jan Mulders did just enough to force Oldbury's Neil Hesson into putting a close range effort over the bar before Stourport's best chance to break the deadlock arrived in the final ex-changes.
A ball across the face of the Oldbury target just evaded the in-coming Simon Marsh who looked certain to score.
Substitute Richard Taylor almost grabbed his first Swifts goal with a late volley over the target after Oldbury were caught in possession on the edge of the area.
