WORCESTER City's hopes of using video evidence to overturn goalkeeper Danny McDonnell's sending-off have been dashed.

City have obtained a video of Saturday's 2-1 win at Folkestone Invicta, and hoped to use it to prove that McDonnell did not handle the ball outside his area, which led to his second red card of the season.

But the Football Association has told the club it won't accept video evidence and there is no right of appeal, so McDonnell will be banned for two games -- the Wor-cestershire Senior Cup tie at Evesham and the league game at Weymouth.

Meanwhile, manager John Barton says there is still a chance that defender Allan Davies could make a permanent move from Burton Albion before the transfer deadline. Davies was recalled by Burton a few days before the end of his third month on loan with City.

Barton said: "I spoke to Nigel Clough last week and hope to have another chat when their injury situation clears up."

City beat Alveston 7-1 in the Midland Floodlit Youth League last night, Steve Hancocks (4), Dan Jones, Jon Warman and Gordon Beauchamp on target.
