SPA Labour supporters have given their backing to the Government's handling of the foot and mouth outbreak.
Mid-Worcestershire Labour party members praised the Government at their annual committee meeting on Thursday March 8.
A branch spokesman said: "Mid-Worcestershire is a very rural constituency and the work done by its farming community is of major importance.
"Calls for compensation to be paid to all who have lost income through the foot and mouth disease were considered unrealistic.
"Those farmers with affected livestock will rightly receive proper compensation in accordance with long-standing agreements."
