AN OAP who faces jail for non-payment of business rates claims she will attend her next court appearance -- according to a close friend.
On Tuesday March 6, Nellie Copson failed to appear before Droitwich Magistrates' Court to face a new charge.
The town bench issued a warrant for the arrest of the 82-year-old who is charged with non-payment of council tax dating back to April 1999.
The pensioner, of High Street, is due to appear before Droitwich magistrates on Tuesday March 27.
One of her supporters told the Advertiser: "Nellie is planning to attend her forthcoming court appearance.
"She will take a suitcase this time because she doesn't want to sleep in a cell without her hot water bottle."
