CAMPAIGNERS bidding to rid Kidderminster of "eyesore" Crown House are to continue their fight after meeting council heavyweights.

Margaret Bradley, Sue Moore and Sue Jones, all members of CATCH - Campaign Against The Crown House - met with Wyre Forest District Council leader Mike Oborski last Friday.

Now the group has decided to take the campaign to the Government and a regional development agency.

Mr Oborski had explained that Crown House's leaseholders Trillium would have to be compensated if the unpopular building was to be demolished.

Mrs Bradley said it had been agreed at the meeting that the "best course" would be to pursue the matter with the Government and Advantage West Midlands.

Trillium is responsible for providing accommodation for the Department of Social Security across the country, and took over Crown House on a 70-year lease in 1998.
