Both keepers, Harriers' Tim Clarke and the visitors' Tom Evans, could have been given more problems as neither side finished clinically.
But the defences kept golden chances down to a minimum with Harriers' centre halves Craig Hinton and Mark Shail solid.
It was important Harriers avoided defeat and that is exactly what they did, making it two clean sheets in a row.
Although at times their play lacked a little direction, there was little doubt over the commitment shown.
Harriers have another tough test at their Aggborough home when Darlington, who are struggling near the foot of the table, visit on Saturday.
