WE are encouraged to avoid missing NHS appointments so I think appointment letters should warn patients how long it may take them to park at Ronkswood Hospital.
My appointment was for 2.45, so I arrived at about 2.20, thinking I was in plenty of time. At 2.50 it became obvious from my place in the parking queue that I might well not be parked in time, so I gave up and rang in with an apology when I arrived home.
What irritates me is that I have wasted time and missed what may be an important CT scan because there simply is not enough parking at the hospital.
No doubt it will all be different when the new hospital opens, but in the meantime, your readers will be well advised to allow plenty of time for parking.
After all, we wouldn't want to waste NHS resources by missing appointments - would we?
