THE Government has accepted there are 81 million National Insurance numbers in circulation for a population of 60 million people.

This means that 21 million bogus NIS numbers are being used for fraud. What is the Government doing? They are scrapping the Data Cleansing Project designed to remove these bogus NIS numbers.

How many schools and hospitals would that pay for? And perhaps even prevent elderly pensioners like my 89-year-old mum, who in order to pay her nursing home fees currently at £385 per week, is having to sell her home after years of working hard to pay for it.

Then they try to tell us this is a Government caring for the elderly, don't they?
