A REVENGE mission is planned this Saturday as Kidderminster Harriers strive to correct one of their worst results of the season.

Harriers had only been beaten twice in Division Three before the visit of Steve McMahon's Blackpool in late September.

But Jan Molby saw his former Liverpool team-mate's side tear the red-faced Aggborough men apart in a 4-1 defeat live on Sky.

The high-scoring Lancastrians, rated by Molby as the best team Harriers have played this season, have since mounted a challenge for the play-offs in sixth position.

And their Bloomfield Road base has played host to some big results, including 6-0 and 5-0 thrashings of Scunthorpe and Torquay respectively.

Harriers' key defender Craig Hinton admits the strike-force of John Murphy and Brett Ormerod - who should return from a bout of flu - were about the biggest test so far for their defence.

Molby said: "Blackpool have an exceptional home record of late and have shot through the league since they beat us.

"The two strikers who played down here were very impressive but we don't want to give people like (Paul) Simpson space either.

"We shut up shop at Leyton Orient recently and in fact did more than that.

"Blackpool will be similar. If we allow them to play, they probably have slightly better players than Orient."

Adie Smith's groin injury rules him out along with Ian Foster (hamstring), while Scott Stamps still fights for fitness.

Smith's absence means Paul Webb could continue his first-team return with John Durnin possibly back up-front.

Harriers, who go on to entertain struggling Lincoln next Tuesday (7.45pm), ended a run of three undefeated games with a 4-2 loss against promotion chasers Cardiff on Sunday.

Molby admitted: "I was disappointed to concede four at home but the score flattered them.

"We will be missing Smith and that competitive edge out of central midfield. There's no reason not to think Webb could solve that problem."

Blackpool reported fine weather on Thursday despite fears of snow in the area.
